The Case of Un-Stomach-able Food
Finding About White Meat Surprises Researchers; Study suggests poultry is just as bad as red meat in terms of cholesterol. It’s all about a new study available in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. Apparently white meat and red meat are equally bad in terms of blood cholesterol levels, reports US News&World Report –so as you see it’s serious. What is recommended is a diet of plant proteins.

We are also told again and again that when it comes to diet, we simply need to focus on eating whole, organic foods over processed and pesticide-laden ones; and that the only limit to the diverse meals we can make is our creativity. Plain and simple. Not a word about why so much attention is given to modern diet, cancer prevention or alternative pain killers. Not a word about why we have pesticide-laden foods and not the beautifully organic ones. Is organic food production at all possible in a system in which millions and millions of people overeat every day that passes?
The only logical conclusion one can arrive at is that there is something terribly wrong with our diet; that we have been overwhelmed by cancer and that opioids and antibiotics are taking their toll. Those headlines seemingly imply that there is a natural order to this modern world of ours, so terribly unnatural, with its saturated fats, processed foods filled to the brim with pesticides, colourants and chemical additives of all kinds. This is never said point-blank, however. Rather, it is presented as advice; a useful alternative, as if everything was in fact perfectly all right, in need of minor improvements only; something in-between the truth and the lie –sort of hypocrisy.
Pancreatic cancer will kill 45,750 this year, and 56,770 new cases will be discovered. Prostate cancer will take 31,620. Breast cancer will kill 42,260. Ovarian cancer will kill 13,980. Leukemia will kill 22,840. (This Form of Cancer Will Kill More People Than the Most Common Cancer in 2019, 24/7 Wallst)
And this only in the USA.
So, are we really expected to live wholesomely and eat naturally in a world which is rabidly modern and fast-paced? Obviously, no-one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both “Nature” and “American way of life”.
The Case of Un-Stomach-able Assange
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange was dragged out of the Ecuadorean embassy in London several weeks ago and arrested by police doing the bidding of the US government, or rather the Pentagon as it is suspected. In May, the US Department of Justice rolled out 17 new charges against Assange under the Espionage Act, a WWI-era document that was aimed at prosecuting spies during war time. Assange became the first journalist or publisher to ever be charged under the century-old law and now faces up to 170 years in prison. British judges scheduled full extradition hearing for February 2020. If he can be persecuted for publishing classified documents, why couldn´t a journalist from the New York Times? Some maintain that this is a point-blank attack on free speech in the free, democratic and parliamentary world. Why those media are called “free” there´s no way to tell. If they were indeed free and the countries they represent were democratic, war crimes wouldn´t have been committed, would they? Shockingly, it is exposing war crimes not committing them that is a crime, and thus it will be the messenger’s, that is Assange’s head, not Blair’s, Bush’s or Aznar’s, that will be chopped off.
Many western journalists, however, maintain that Assange was not, is not, a journalist.
He wasn’t in their club, so there was little need to defend him. This nonchalant response to the arrest of perhaps the most consequential journalist and whistleblower of our time was exactly the one British and US authorities relied upon. And they were not disappointed. The indifference of the media on both sides of the Atlantic to Assange’s plight was like a flashing green light for authorities to step things up, which of course they did, announcing 17 new charges in May. (Journalists silent on Assange’s plight are complicit in his torture and imprisonment).
Headlines are both depressing and thought provoking:

UN special rapporteur on torture Nils Melzer said Assange exhibits serious signs of psychological torture due to his long-term arbitrary confinement, systematic judicial persecution, harassment and “deliberate collective ridicule, insults and humiliation.” Asked if he feared Assange could die in prison, Melzer said there is a “very real” fear of that happening. (Journalists silent on Assange’s plight are complicit in his torture and imprisonment).
The Case of Un-Stomach-able Drone Downing
The US Navy’s MQ-4C Triton drone, flying in stealth mode according to Iranian sources, which costs roughly 180 million dollars and provides real-time intelligence and surveillance to forces on the ground, was shot down by an Iranian surface-to-air missile, US Central Command (CENTOCOM) said, adding that they deemed the incident an “unprovoked attack” in a statement on Thursday, and denied that the drone was flying over Iranian territory at the time of the strike.
Mind you, as long as the spies spying on you are not flying over your territory, you’re expected to kindly accept and welcome them –new international policy. Furthermore, CENTOCOM reserves the right to surround you with troops and carrier groups, but you are encouraged not to think of it as a provocation. Any response on your part will be called “unprovoked attack”.
However, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif tweeted out the precise coordinates of where the drone met its demise, well within Iranian territorial waters. He added that sections of the downed US drone had been collected from the ocean.
Unsurprisingly, US Headlines are confused and confusing. One is under the impression that the experts don’t know what to think:

In response to the most recent developments, the Pentagon announced the deployment of another 1,000 troops to the Middle East in addition to the 1,500 troops deployed to the region after the tanker attacks in May. The Pentagon also revealed that the US’ latest troop deployment to the Middle East will include a Patriot Missile battalion, drones and manned surveillance aircraft. Clearly, the more the merrier must be Pentagon’s motto. Iran has repeatedly rejected the notion that it had anything to do with the strikes.
US Navy says mine fragments suggest Iran was behind gulf tanker “blatant assault” but there has been no independent investigation, and consequently we must take the Pentagon’s word for granted and for what it’s worth. As usual, the US government accuses Iran of “terrorism” and has recently put the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps on its terror list, which gets longer by the hour, by the way.
In a statement Shanahan said:
The recent Iranian attacks validate the reliable, credible intelligence we have received on hostile behavior by Iranian forces and their proxy group that threaten United States personnel and interests across the region.
As credible and reliable as that about Saddam’s weapons of mass destruction? If so, why not send the personnel home and turn US interests somewhere closer to home? Or directly home?
The USA has many bones to pick with Iran historically speaking, and that’s the problem, not Iran’s imaginary terrorism as advocated by the present US administration –apparently innocent as a newborn baby but with enough authority to play God; the main bone being the fact that Iran has always stood up to US bullies, as also have Syria and North Korea. Hence, all the “tensions” translated into millions of deaths.
The deal signed by Obama was probably never meant to be kept. It did, however, slow down Iran’s nuclear programme and weakened Iran’s position, both domestically and internationally.
It is a psychic disease and a vicious quality with its own specific signs and symptoms, which have numerous grades and degrees. As is the case of any disease, if cure is not undertaken and perseverance is not applied in the course of its treatment, it will acquire its extreme degrees, for there is no limit to the intensity of human vices or virtues.
Hypocrisy in international relations is a source of evil, discord and sedition among nations and may not only bring about destruction of large sectors of mankind (and even of all of it) but also justify such annihilation –as can be easily deduced from the events and statements we’re witnessing every day that passes. Hypocrisy and the resulting deeds render human heart and mind black because outward display or discourse does not comply with inner realities –suffice it to read the mind-blowing and heart-wrenching The military-industrial-humanitarian complex: Spreading Western hegemony under the guise of virtue or Absence of true ‘rules-based’ world order no prettier with liberal lipstick on it.
Exactly. When there are no rules, madness, justified by power, becomes the rule. A terribly dangerous situation.
On the other hand, if we accept that rules are necessary, as president Trump evidently thinks, then it will be obviously his rules; his democracy; his idea of freedom; his interpretation or vision of what we call reality. Thus, the rules must come from someone above everyone else since one man’s rules are as good as another man’s rules. Result –tyranny and wars.
(66) You dispute in matters of which you have some knowledge. But why do you dispute in matters of which you have no knowledge? Allah always knows the best option whereas you cannot foresee the consequences of your actions.
Qur-an 3 – Ali Imran
An earthquake has just struck western France. Earthquakes have become more and more frequent all over the world. All transmissions mention this phenomenon as the sign of the Last Hour. However, predicting it, as Steve Fletcher does (per Daily Star), does not make any sense.

(77) The Hour of Judgment is as the twinkling of an eye, or even quicker.
Qur-an 16 – an Nahl
(15) Rest assured the Hour of Judgment is bound to come. However, I have kept its coming secret, to pay each man for that which he has struggled for.
Qur-an 20 – Ta Ha
But how to talk about it to the maddening and maddened crowd?
While the world is crumbling down, the streets of Toronto get packed (photos above) with joyous fans, according to some estimates as many as a million, as the city’s NBA team, the Raptors, sealed their place in the NBA Finals for the first time in their history. Shouldn’t those crowds rather stay at home and meditate about climate change and what to do about it?
Another example of general madness: Halfway through the first half of the Champions League final between Liverpool and Tottenham a young woman invaded the Wanda Metropolitano pitch to interrupt the game for a minute. She was wearing nothing but a scanty, and very much so, black swimsuit promoting an X-rated YouTube channel. She was revealed as Kinsey Wolanski, a 22-year-old LA-based model, the girlfriend of Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, a former porn actor. Wolanski’s Instagram audience skyrocketed from 230,000 to 2.3 million followers overnight. Meanwhile, according to sports business reporter Darren Rovell, Zdorovetskiy’s enterprise gained almost $4 million in advertising thanks to her antics.
Cristiano Ronaldo, a football player, holds the leading position on Instagram with 148 million followers, the honour previously enjoyed by Selena Gomez, a singer. Kim Kardashian, a particularly outrageous social media personality, model and actress of some sort has nearly 224 million followers across Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
These are your gods, O Modern Man! Could talking to the neglectful be a waste of time?
For all tables are full of vomit and filth. No place is clean. Whom will he teach knowledge? And whom will he make understand the message? Those just weaned from milk? Those just drawn from the breasts? (Isaiah 28:8-9)
Wide indeed is the road to destruction.
(16) They are the ones who have bartered guidance for error. Their purchase is profitless. They have lost true direction.
Qur-an 2 – al Baqarah
Abu Huraira reported that the prophet Muhammad said:
Verily, the parable of myself and the people is that of a man who kindled a fire. When it lighted what was around it, moths and insects started falling into the fire. The man tried to pull them out, but they overcame him and kept rushing into it. I take hold of your belts to keep you from falling in, yet you rush into it. (Bukhari 6118, Muslim 2284)
The attitude of the Modern Man is what can be called a rush or flight forward; a headlong rush –blind, unstoppable and uncontrolled –a form of escapism, of eluding one’s errors; of not facing them by seeking entertainment and imagining oneself in exciting situations; simply put –being hypocritical with oneself.
Anything goes for the time being. However, the time inevitably comes when this is no longer true.
